Album Preview: Atoms for Peace – Amok

Atoms for Peace - AMOK

This supergroup, Atoms for Peace, brings together the likes of Radiohead, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Beck, and REM to create an amazing sound that pulls from each of the artists’ respective genres, although it does tend to favor Yorke’s sound more than others. With this collection of musicians, it seems impossible that someone could not be excited about their debut album, Amok, coming out on the 25th; being a huge fan of Radiohead and the Chili Peppers (and a solid fan of Beck and REM), February 25th cannot come fast enough. I think one can expect (or at least I’m hoping) that this album will resemble their few released singles, “Default” and “Judge Jury and Executioner” – two fantastic tracks that if you haven’t heard, stop what you are doing and listen to them. Come on, February 25th.
